What is an election in a country? The Election Commission has been repeatedly informed through the makkal adhikaram newspaper and website that it is useless for the Election Commission to conduct elections without knowing its meaning. But does the Election Commission follow the rules of conduct of elections? Why should one give money to people? Why should one give gifts?

What is the need for a person who comes to work for the people, to win elections by giving his hard work and money? People don’t think about this either. The Election Commission is also not thinking. Holding elections for duty or for political parties demonstrates irresponsibility towards this country for the Election Commission of India.

Moreover, there are so many people who are bidding for people that they think that local elections are only about money. Also, in some villages, whoever pays the highest amount is elected in that village without elections. It’s all an election.

Also, how big and strict should there be in holding elections? There is also a situation in the local body elections where the ruling party can announce the candidates it promises. Whether it is the AIADMK regime or the DMK regime, the people he wants should be made to win, whether they are councillors, panchayat presidents or even lose. It’s all an indirect assignment they give to the authorities.

Many PDOs have done this work indirectly. The candidates of the village fought between the winners and the losers. If such mistakes are committed, those PDOs should be suspended immediately. If municipal commissioners or corporation commissioners commit such mistakes, they should also be suspended.

In villages or towns where mistakes are committed, a re-poll should be conducted in that area. Or a recount of votes will have to be held. Elections should be fair. The Election Commission should consider that there should be no local body elections for those who are in political power here. besides

Cameras should not be switched off every minute during the counting of votes. Besides, the counting of votes should take place the next day after the election is held. Ballot boxes can be changed over a week, a month or 10 days. Because the power is with the DMK. There is a fear among other political parties that any of that will happen.

Apart from this, the officials should work in favour of the ruling party in the country. If not, they will be intimidated or rowdy, or they will take revenge by the higher officials. The main demand of political parties and social welfare journalists is to ensure that this does not happen. besides

Elections in the country are held under the power of democracy and if it is in their favor, political parties will advertise in our corporate TV newspapers that this is an election of democracy, and if it is properly blacked out for a few political parties, they will make a statement that this is an election for democracy. What action is the State Election Commission going to take?

Also, what action is the Election Commission of India going to take on this? Is that the main question? State Election Commission Secretary K Subramanian has written a letter to the State Chief Electoral Officer. In the letter, it has been instructed to conduct local body elections in Tamil Nadu and fill up the vacancies.

The term of the incumbent local body election representatives ends in December. Therefore, the State Election Commission has decided to conduct elections to rural local bodies. Elections to rural local bodies in Tamil Nadu, except for the newly bifurcated nine districts, were held in December 2019.

After the DMK came to power in 2021, elections to urban local bodies and nine district and rural local bodies that did not hold elections were held in two phases. The term of these members ends in 2026. But the DMK government is thinking of holding elections to all the local bodies before the assembly elections in 2026. Also, elections mean voters!

For the money? Or to loot public property worth crores of rupees in the village and city? Or rowdyism and kattapanchayat in villages and cities? Did people think about all this and vote? Touch your conscience and ask yourself.

They vote for the undeserving for money and then lament in the villages. They are moaning in the cities. What is it for? They take money, buy gifts, vote and win the kattapanchayat in the village. They do rowdyism. They lament that they cannot question them.

They are also looting public property worth crores. They go to the panchayats and write down the accounts without doing any welfare schemes properly for the villages. Does your village need all this? Will voters think about that? Likewise, will the townspeople think? You know very well who these people are in that village or in that town, who they are who bring money or gifts in advance to vote. You knowingly take money.

Then, if he is a rowdy, he will make you sit down. If we are a plunderer, what can we rob of? That’s the plan he is making. So, who are the people you are eligible to do community service? Throw away the money, throw away the gifts and think with a conscience. Vote for them.

Moreover, it is unnecessary for the voters to create problems and the social activists and social welfare journalists in the respective village are complaining to the court, police and district administration. It is the duty of social welfare journalists, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Journalists Federation, to inform the voters that if you vote in the public interest, this problem will not happen to any village or town.
