If politics in the country has shifted from public interest to self-interest, then if the police who protect the law and act accordingly, then the condition of the people of the country, the Constitution, democracy, everything needs to be protected by the courts.
That is why in the case of Savukku Shankar in Tamil Nadu, the Supreme Court gave an interim ban on the trial of all cases. This is how the court should be. Isn’t this the court? The Supreme Court has confirmed that if an individual is chosen to take revenge by politics in the country, they have no one other than the court.
Moreover, the DMK government has done all the legal problems for Savukku Shankar by giving him a series of cases in the police station from Coimbatore to Chennai, Salem, Trichy and Madurai and he was waved to the court and the police station and could not get bail and he could not get out of this.
In fact, if this atrocity happens to a common man, if he does not have the money power, he will not be able to come out of it again. Savukku Shankar fought so much, can some other individuals do it? Of course not. Somehow, the Supreme Court upheld justice. Defended the law.
