Political parties competing for power in Tamil Nadu, no political party or political party member competes to do what the people need. Everyone says, “If I come, I will do this and that.” They only give these speeches, but what do you do without power? What have you done?
Even though the DMK is a political party that is ruling the country, it can be stopped by pointing out the mistakes it is doing to the people. Here, the opposition parties think that politics is just talking in the media and leaving. Let today’s opposition party become tomorrow’s ruling party. The AIADMK, which is the opposition party, Edappadi Palaniswami has not done its job properly.
The ruling party should answer every question of the opposition party before moving on to the next move. Similarly, Edappadi Palaniswami is obliged to answer the opposition’s coalition political parties. What I am saying here is that political parties in Tamil Nadu are flouting the promises they made during the elections. The opposition party, AIADMK, which should have been listening to it, has kept its mouth shut for 5 years. Furthermore,
Edappadi Palaniswami, who became the Leader of the Opposition, did not do politics by condemning DMK’s sand looting, corruption, TASMAC corruption, corruption of ministers, or any other corruption or corrupt administration. No big corporate newspaper or television company published a single news item against Edappadi Palaniswami about it. He was not even questioned.
If Edappadi Palaniswami comes to power again, will he do the same corruption? Or will he do corrupt administration? People, he is not okay with him, he is not okay with him, stop this talk. It is wrong for people to talk and think like this. It is wrong to talk like this on social media and on television.
You did not do what you said. You did not provide corruption-free administration. You did not provide governance for the people. This should be the main question and answer of the people. Moreover, today’s opposition parties will cope with it by giving only one answer. That is! We can do it only if we are the ruling party. We cannot do it if we are the opposition party. It is easy to say that the power is not in our hands and leave. But where you make us do it, there is the Leader of the Opposition.
If you ask a question, Stalin must answer. If there is no correct answer, you can approach the court, you can appeal to the Governor, the President. There are many such procedures. Many promises made by the DMK during the elections, including pension for government employees and appointment of part-time graduate teachers, have vanished into thin air.
But, what happened to that? Edappadi Palaniswami did not even ask. Taking people who do not know politics, giving them a thousand or five hundred for their votes and bowing down to them has become their politics. If there was a strong opposition leader, Stalin would have run away. Are they running the Legislative Assembly? Or are they running a debate competition in the Legislative Assembly? Or are they running the debate platform that they call the corporate media?
Today’s political parties are competing for position and power in the country. If they had shown concern for the welfare of the people, Edappadi Palaniswami could have conducted the assembly itself after answering his question. Even if they are expelled from the assembly, speaking on corporate microphones about the problems of the people is not politics, it is a fraud. People should understand that political parties are continuously doing that work in Tamil Nadu and vote.
If they get a single majority, this is how they are playing. Therefore, no political party should have a majority in Tamil Nadu. Only then will they be able to plunder as they please. They will not be able to run an anarchic government as they please. They cannot call all their party rowdies administrators.
Today’s coalition political parties that do not compete to serve the people, just talk on microphones, express opinions and leave, it is an easy political job. In other words, they are competing for power without doing anything for the people. Especially these caste parties like PMK, Viduthaliya, Siruthaigal, DMDK, MDMK, Thaveka, Naam Tamilar and many other political parties, what are they doing for the people? What have they done? Power, all of them are competing for power, don’t the people understand politics?
Moreover, if their main purpose is service, there will never be any rowdiness or corruption. Why do people come to serve like this? Should they compete for power? Besides, why should those who come to serve give money for votes? Is it a way to deceive people who do not know politics by giving money for one day, biryani, bottles of liquor, freebies, free goods, and deceiving them with their power? Besides, the whole purpose of these political parties is to earn how many crores once they get office and power? This is the only way they think, and they forget about the people. They are putting their conscience at stake and competing in looting.
To cover up that loot and corruption, corporate companies are using the privileges and advertisements that newspapers and televisions buy for their own selfish interests, using them, and publishing news that deceives the people. Why are concessions and advertisements that should be given from the people’s tax money being given only to corporate newspapers and televisions? If you have been an MP or MLA for five years, you need a pension. You need a salary increase. But you should not give pension to those who have worked as government employees for 30, 40 years.
Because you are only working for the people by taking a salary. At least now there are political parties that can compete for people’s positions and power! Will they think about the welfare of the people?
