Hariharan, the leader of the Tamil Nadu Temple Protection Movement, has been a nightmare for the gang that is encroaching on temple lands and looting crores of rupees.
Why is the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department reluctant to take action against those who have encroached on various temple lands? Behind this joint conspiracy, politics, political parties, caste organizations on the one hand, various organizations and caste associations have come together to loot the properties written by the kings and zamindars of that time and are enjoying millions of crores through fake documents today.
The officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department are complicit in this. The Tamil Nadu Temple Protection Movement has been fighting all over Tamil Nadu to recover the temple lands. It has also been published in our People’s Power newspaper and on the website.
Similarly, in Kadayanallur taluk of Tenkasi district, 26 places including temple chatram have been confirmed as temple chatrams and fraudulent activities. Officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department have helped in this. The VAO of the village and the municipal commissioner have also decided to file a case.
As per the rules, property tax, water tax and electricity tax should be paid in the name of the temple. The temple administration commissioners are not even aware of this rule of law. The encroachers also pay for the same survey number and get a receipt.
The officials of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department are also paying money and getting fake receipts and showing them year after year. How can two people own the same property and pay taxes? It has to be decided who is entitled to this.
Hariharan, the leader of the Temple Protection Movement, said that this fraud has been going on in the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department since 1967. Will it take action? Government of Tamil Nadu.
