The need to change the rules with time in the news industry is the imperative of the times.

Problems happening in the country, people’s problems, administrative problems, many problems are appearing in the newspapers. But the problem with the newspapers is the social woes of the journalism industry in today’s era.

There is no other competition in this field of journalism. One such field is the journalism field. In this field, the media run by the middle people, in which some magazines are run by social activists for social benefit. There are some people who run a magazine on the account that I also run a magazine.

In this too, a competition. Many people run magazines while still having a journalistic qualification about the field. That’s why only a certain percentage of these magazines are the kind of magazines that people buy and read, and the rest are magazines that are looked at and put down.

Why? Today’s dailies, which can be called big newspapers, have the same idea. Recently a few days ago I met one of our regional MLAs while having tea at a tea shop. He is a good man and is investigating me. How’s the magazine going? Who is buying and reading now? It is true that they said that they are watching all of them for a time, now on cell phones.

Apart from this, only those who buy for the news published in these big newspapers, currently buy and read the newspapers. In other words, whatever happened in some of those area news, business is done by taking it. Such a situation has reached the journalism industry. But after DMK came to power in the media industry, many regulations have been made for this media which is run by the common middle people.

The news department officials have come up with new regulations in Tamilnadu to issue a government ID card. That is, the proof of sales of ten thousand copies of the magazine, the details given in the bank account of the salary of the journalists, the details to be given by the printer about the details of these copies being printed, the details to be given by the auditor that all these are correct, this has changed the rule that we will give government identity card of this magazine only if all these are given. DMK Govt.

Who has said all these rules and established this rule? People with 35 years of journalism experience like us know that. If it is newspaper, if it is television, the media department should tell all these rules to the uneducated. Whatever you want to see, whatever you want to hear, everything is not in the terms of journalism. For what purpose is journalism? Why journalism? Why magazine? If they give correct answers to these questions only, we will accept the terms you have brought.

That is, journalism is to reveal the truth, it is not to tell lies and press the press, does the quality and merit of that newspaper publish real news? Publishing news to the masses? Publishing messages for social good? This is a subject of first importance to journalism.

Let’s come next, as they say, by telling a lie called circulation, offers, advertisements are only for daily newspapers and those terms are not available for other newspapers. By bringing such a regulation, central and state governments are ruining the journalism industry. Let’s take a daily newspaper.

In each newspaper in this daily newspaper, how many news comes to people per day? How many news articles are in public interest magazines? How many government news? So what is the benefit to the people? What’s the point? How many messages were told to the government and the people? List all these. How much of that is true? How many lies? Even a layman or an educated person cannot understand this detail to study all this.

There will be a certain percentage of people who have experience in the same field and know the details. Only they will understand this truth. Next is the quality of these journals, part truth, neutrality, and set up a neutral confederation that can be researched about it, without an iota of politics in it. They should have long experience in this field. Let them examine and then give each journal its quality and merit.

What is the offer for which magazine? Advertise according to its quality and merit. No mistake. Also, the existing central state government regulations are for commercial purposes only. It does not have norms of social welfare in it. With these norms, it is very, very difficult for the magazines brought by the common middle class people to get the sales pitches they ask for.

Besides, circulation is the concession, advertising that these dailies are giving with people’s tax money. This is of no use to the people. People’s tax money is being wasted in crores. Also, to run a journal like this, one has to have block money. If not, the newspaper should be run with the money earned in sand robbery. If not, the magazine should be run on liquor money. Apart from that, the newspaper should be looted from politics.

Apart from this, if the press has to be run according to the norms they say, it will not be a press run for the people. Newspapers that tell the lies of the rulers or the newspapers that tell the lies of the political parties, and the drama that the rulers put on, and the guise of good people that the political parties put on, this is what those newspapers are saying. This is a great magazine. A social justice in the journalism industry by telling a lie that there is no more journalism is a social justice that cannot be accepted.

So, what is journalism for? For what purpose? Understand that and bring changes in the regulations in the journalism industry. Only then will the real news reach the people. People will choose them if they know who is honest, worthy and able to serve the people. That is why people will give importance to good governance, i.e. people’s rule. For that, worthy newspapers are needed.

Here all unworthy newspapers are telling lies and claiming to be big newspapers. These facts are unknown to more than 90 percent of journalists and news executives. All they know is that the Ministers have received news today? Has his photo arrived? Did the commission come through those magazines? This is what they know. Besides,

RNI should be registered in Chennai for a Government Identity Card issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Publishing should be in Chennai. Not sure what the justification is. That means if one registers that magazine in Chennai, it is a magazine. If it is registered elsewhere, it is not a journal. No one will buy and read it, can we take it as such? Or do people accept that it is not a magazine if it is published in other places only if it is published there? What stupid things they are doing.

How much sleazy stuff is going on in a scholarly journalism industry? Today’s journalism industry is suffering from many such problems. What is worse than all this is that people’s tax money is being wasted by giving crores of rupees to political party magazines and commercial magazines. How does the press department of the central state government accept this?

Also, I asked 16 questions through RTI in the previous regime. The answer is no. Now I have asked 42 questions and in one line they have replied that they cannot answer their question as it is too many. However, it has been sent to appeal. Depending on that, the next step will proceed. Court will be the main solution for this. That too,

Only a sitting of five judges, not one, can fix this. It is the belief of social activists, social welfare journalists and newspapers like us that if this is done, we will get good governance, governance for the people, social justice for the people and social justice for the press in the country.
