Cinema is a vast and boundless ocean in which the directors are the pearls. Not everyone in Tamil cinema is a kissing director.
The screenplay, dialogues, direction, and songs have all been in such a way that people can accept and enjoy the ideas that people needed at that time, even after more than 50 years. But are today’s film songs listenable except for a few songs?
Also, it was very difficult to enter cinema back then. Everything happens inside the studio. Some scenes will be shot in other states and abroad. Though Gemini Ganesan, Jaishankar and Ravichandran acted as heroes during their time, MGR was in Sivaji. It then came to Rajini and Kamal.
Initially, Rajinikanth and Kamal films were all based on the problems of a people. Bharathiraja brought the film with simplicity. At the age of 16, the train going east, the waves do not rest, there is a scene in the film Radha cutting the cross. Karthik will cut the sacred thread. This is also a love story about two religions, even here he expressed only the idea of lovers and did not impose any idea on religion, society or caste.
But they continue to bring caste imposition in cinema by many films that we are showing the oppression of the Paraiyar community, the oppressed community in it. How do other communities view it? Accepts? I don’t know. But no matter what this magazine and television says, yes those who are playing the rhythm do not know anything. They need money, whatever you say, they will put it. That’s the situation in today’s corporate journalism and television.
Here, it is unacceptable to impose love and language on a society. Can it be accepted? This is the opinion of a community. Whatever a society thinks I don’t need, they impose it as a film. It is not equality, there is no change in society, there is no inequality in society. For example, why didn’t the tribal community and the Arundhati community show that the Paraiyar community loved them? If that is the case, social inequality will disappear there, won’t it?
Does any political party or people in Tamil Nadu accept the imposition of India? How many struggles are there for that? There are people who like to read the same Hindi. It’s their choice. In the same way, marrying someone who is not interested in love is against society. In the same way, they impose their own opinion on a society and make a film.
Moreover, in those days, no one had made a film with such an imposition. There was no caste consciousness in the film industry. It is only after the arrival of all these people that caste is now visible in cinema. What caste was Bharathiraja in the beginning? We don’t even know everything. I don’t even know what caste any directors and actors belong to. It is only after their arrival that the word ‘caste’ appears in the cinema.

This is not only in cinema, but in journalism, politics, it is the work of fools to project everything as caste. Keep caste in your community, where your daughter, your son, or you, the caste within the marriage relationship, the caste within the bonds, is not necessary for politics. When people like Ramadoss and Thirumavalavan brought caste associations into politics, the unity, respect and respect among these castes has diminished.
Caste politics is the work of eating caste with caste. If caste films are made in cinema, that too against other communities, how can this be accepted? Other communities will not accept this, and it is wrong to say in cinema that a society should accept my opinion.
(Ranjith himself says and there is a cultural difference between communities and Dalits. Okay, other communities accept it, the Dalit community does not accept it, his opinion is that you will make a film and make them accept? Accept or disagree is their heart’s desire, I will give you an opinion, will you accept it? It is your choice. I cannot impose it on you.
I have never even seen the film after filming all this, but now I am watching it when these comments and criticisms are being shared on social media in a big way. It’s been more than 20 years since I went to a cinema theatre and watched a movie. Ideas that were accepted by all communities and welcomed by people of all communities were the films of those days. What they know is called a film. Even Chief Minister Stalin appreciates it. It seems that even the guidance who can tell him everything is not telling him about it.
What is cinema in Tamil Nadu? In these times when people who do not know that are watching, educated youth should learn to think and live. Now they have made films and serials for the benefit of the society and the national without being used for the welfare of the country. That is why when did caste and religion come into this cinema culture? Since then, it has lost its dignity. One’s talent and merit should be honoured in cinema. Are other communities stupid enough to honour their caste?
Without even knowing what caste is, they are making a film on it and fooling other communities. This society oppresses me, this society rejects us. How many rivalries within a race? How many jealousies are there? Don’t they all live? How much struggle is there between them? How many differences are there? There is no casteism in this era. But Pa Ranjith, Vetrimaran and some others are making films as caste fanatics. How will other communities accept this……..?
