Political parties in Tamil Nadu do politics for votes. That politics! Not for the people. The Central and State Government’s Information Department is wasting crores of taxpayers’ money by giving concessions and advertisements to the political parties who do politics for votes, without caring about their merit, service and corruption, and to the corporate media which only advertise their speeches to the people.
It is the public that suffers. What is politics? For people who don’t know that, these messages are whether it’s true? False? They are neither qualified nor capable enough to do that. Those who have read about politics can understand the news if the news is given as a blunt person. But the uneducated are still deceived by it.
What is the truth if some other political parties criticize the news? That will come out. If not, it won’t come either. Moreover, it is the job of these corporate newspaper channels to give such news to the people of the country by advertising how many fake political ideas and political parties are talking as if they are serving the people and giving such news.
For this, you have to run a newspaper with your own money. You have to run a TV with your own money. When it is done on the taxpayer’s money, it should be a real message to the people. You are disguising yourself as good people for political parties and rulers and are deceiving the people here. Only experienced journalists like us can understand that. If asked, the press officials say it is the law.
Does the Press Act help to deceive people? Does the press need such a law? These are the main questions of social activists? Then people think that AIADMK is good and DMK is bad. Similarly, when the AIADMK exposes all the corruption done by them for some time, the people of Tamil Nadu are cheating by alternating the DMK as bad and the AIADMK as good. What is the solution? On the one hand, the corporate media, which has been complicit in this scam, has to change the laws of the press in the country. Instead of giving concessions and advertisements to non-commercial magazines, government concessions and advertisements should be given only to newspapers related to public interest.
