YouTube channels do not appear in the press, but freedom of expression is right. It cannot be denied that it is not here. Here there is freedom to say things in favor of the ruling party. If you make comments against the ruling party, you have no right to do so. Is the police in Tamil Nadu violating the Right to Freedom of Expression Act against journalists like us? Is what happened during the British imperialist rule happening under Stalin’s rule?
On the one hand, the pro-ruling media is criticizing it and adding lies that Savukku Shankar made this mistake. What crime did Savukku Shankar commit here? Did he sell marijuana? Or will they put him in a goondas for a comment he made about the police? In this country, people in political parties have taken a kick even if the police are beaten up and the policewoman who filed the case has withdrawn. The incident took place in Tiruvannamalai temple. It was in the press. It’s something people know.
But Savukku Shankar did not hit anyone. He has said something in his mouth. Is that wrong? Right? Whatever punishment is given to him according to the law, it is not wrong. But the officers see to it that the police beat the woman and no case is filed against her. But if they are throwing goondas here for speaking, how is this the law and order of the police and what is the security of the common people in the country?
Shankar has been a vocal critic of the DMK, Stalin and his family. It is a fact known to the people of Tamil Nadu. I am not going to add anything new to it. But is there a rule of law here? Isn’t it? It is for the Supreme Court Justice King Chandra Sood to tell the people of the country. Because even journalists like us are confused. Justice Chandra Sood, the country’s highest court judge, has an important responsibility to clarify this.
Also, the police can file any false case against anyone if they want. Anyone can be arrested. But why didn’t you catch Zafar Sadiq, the drug kingpin for three years? No complaint has been filed against him. He has been smuggling drugs freely abroad, what were the police doing here? Delhi Police is Jafar caste’s favourite.
Cannabis consumption has increased in the country and it is not possible to control it. The actions of the police are very, very disgusting. The Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Journalists Federation has decided to file a case in the court for the social problems of the people. Journalism is not a hired heart attack. This is the work of fighting for social issues. In this, the cooperation of the police department is essential. If the police are a slave of the rulers, it is shameful to take salaries from the taxpayers’ money.
Because the police are paid from the taxpayers’ money, the police should be loyal and trustworthy to them. We are not able to accept such false cases. Also, what is the difference between you and political party rowdies? Will people question that? Will social activists ask questions? Will social welfare journalists like us ask questions? It is important to understand that the police are obliged to answer all this.
Don’t look at hired newspapers, big TV channels and big magazines. All people need to see is the truth. Just look at the fairness. Don’t support injustice. If you want to take a Xerox copy in Stalin’s regime today, they have made five rupees. What used to be 50 paise is now called five rupees.
If asked, the shopkeeper says, I will pay the electricity bill of twelve thousand, sir. Who am I to blame? Shopkeeper? Or Stalin? The police? How long will this rule and power last? The people are seething. Whether this police force saves or not, it is the power of God that has to save the people. It is the divine power of this country that should pay their wages.
Fake newspapers, journalists, reporters hanging placards and showing it to the people is not good for this society. There will be no remedy for such injustices. So, will the Supreme Court look back at this fact? It is our duty to tell the truth.
