Paruthicherry Raja, the leader of the Green Environmental Protection Movement, has lodged a complaint with the tahsildar in this regard expressing concern over the continuous felling of palm trees in the delta districts.

The money trees were felled by Karuppiah’s son Marimuthu, a resident of 30 Kokkaladi village. The Tahsildar has personally inspected the matter and lodged a complaint with the police against the person and action has been taken. This has been largely welcomed by nature activists.
