Next, food safety department officials are these oils made on hygiene basis? Are the food products made with this oil of good quality? Does it affect people at all? No food safety officer has to take it on the lab test.
When asked about this, Bose, the food safety officer of Tiruvallur district, said, “I am the highest recipient of oil in the district. He can be proud of this award. People don’t benefit from his award. First of all, what is the quality of each of these oil manufacturing companies, in which laboratory were those oils analyzed, and how many years have it been since they were inspected? Officials who are supposed to inspect all these are inspecting food items for duty.
Even in Tiruvallur shops, they have not been able to detect adulteration in pulses and oil. How will they find out the quality of adulteration in oil companies? We take action. You don’t have to come to work for that. How the police catch the thief and give it to the people. They talk as if to say, We are filing a case against him.
Also, why do people get more heart attacks due to these adulterated products and non-standard oils? They are not even 50 years old and have a heart attack. The reason is that oily products are not pure. Gummidipoondi has the highest number of oil companies in Tiruvallur district. Are all these companies producing quality oil? The big question? The smoke from these oil companies smells of useless oil burnt in a fire throughout the area. It is from Gummidipoondi to Periyapalayam.
Not only this, the people living in the area of about 20 km are affected by the SIPCOT companies in Gummidipoondi. The earth’s environmental pollution is causing a lot of heat in the atmosphere. Thus global warming continues. The effects of global warming such as too much sun, too much rainfall, all these are against the life of mankind. The rulers don’t care about this. They need money. Officers need money. How many people have to face because of this? People are tolerating and living as if there is no other way. This is the situation of the people.
There is also a SIPCOT called Sri City in Andhra Pradesh nearby. They say there is no pollution there. To that extent, the pollution control authorities there are maintaining it. Why can’t the officials of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board maintain this? That is the expectation of the public.
In Gummidipoondi SIPCOT, Surya TMT Company, ARSTMT Company, MTC, Rathi Rubber Company, Sunfeast Aluminium Company, Camin Goat, Cow, Poultry Feed Company, Anjaan Pill Company, TVM Oil Company, KVT Oil Company, Dalmia Cement Company, GR Metal Company, TVS Company, Triple 7 Pickle Company, Aachi Masala Pickle Company, all these on one side are groundwater. It is reported that the companies in Gummidipoondi SIPCOT are violating the limits of environmental damage by polluting the soil and polluting the atmosphere on the other hand.
