When Kulandai Velu refused, Sakthivel got angry and started a quarrel and damaged the things in the house. As part of this, on February 15, Sakthivel took the village elders and asked his father about the property. After six months, Kulandai Velu also sent the important people of the village saying that they could talk about writing the property. Sakthivel was constantly angry with his father’s actions.
In this situation, Sakthivel went to his father’s house in Perambalur on February 16, thinking that he would not get the property as long as his father was alive. The father, who was sitting on a sofa outside the house, was brutally assaulted and brutally assaulted. Like a boxer, he punched his father in the face. He sustained injuries on his nose and cheeks and was bleeding. As a result, Kulandai Velu was devastated.
Seeing this, the family screamed and tried to control Sakthivel. But without listening to anyone, he repeatedly attacked his father. While he was being taken to the hospital in a car, his son again dragged his father down and assaulted him.
Kulandai Velu, who was seriously injured, has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Trichy for treatment. As the injuries on the body were serious, the hospital informed the Kaikalathur police station. The police are investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, a video of Sakthivel brutally assaulting his father has surfaced on social media. It was also rumoured that Kulandai Velu died while undergoing treatment at the hospital, but when his health improved, he gave in writing that he would discuss the problem between himself and his son and returned home after being discharged. Two days later, he was found dead in his room. According to the police, he committed suicide by consuming poison.
Kulandai Velu’s wife Hema has also given a written statement to the Kaikalathur police that there is no suspicion about her husband’s death. When Sakthivel spoke to Perambalur SP Shyamala Devi about the incident, he said that departmental action has been taken against the sub-inspector Palanisamy, who initially investigated the case, for not investigating the case properly.
Meanwhile, after a video of him assaulting his father over a property dispute went viral on social media, political parties and volunteers strongly condemned. On the orders of Salem SP Arun Kabilan, a team led by Attur DSP Sathish Kumar conducted an investigation. The police registered a case under five sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and arrested Sakthivel from Attur and registered a case under five sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after a CCTV footage of a son brutally assaulting his father over a property dispute went viral.
