In Tamil Nadu, 50 years ago, the DMK led an anti-Hindi agitation among students. It succeeded. Even after 50 years, the DMK is presenting the same struggle among the students and the people.
What was the mindset of the people who lived here 50 years ago? What is the mindset of the people living now? Not the same. What is the mindset of those who entered politics 50 years ago? What is the mindset of those who have come to politics now? This war of words is going on between the two i.e. Annamalai and Udhayanidhi.
Even worse is the hashtag ‘Go Back Modi’ on the internet, Annamalai Get Out Stalin in return, hashtaging, what cinema politics is this? Are the people of Tamil Nadu so stupid?

It is unacceptable for Udhayanidhi to speak so badly about Modi. Go Back Modi. He is the Prime Minister of the country. You are the Deputy Chief Minister of a state. How can you call him Go Back Modi here? Well, let’s keep it that way. Can you say that you can’t beat it in Delhi, you can’t set foot in Andhra Pradesh, you can’t put it in Gujarat, you can’t put it in any state? Those who hold a big position in politics should speak carefully. It is wrong to speak childishly i.e. like our Vadivelu comedy.
Leave that aside, the next thing Annamalai says one thing clearly. I was born in an ordinary farming family and this situation came to me because of my education. That’s one of the main reasons why he developed his talent. That cannot be denied. After becoming an IPS officer, who was he even then? The people of Tamil Nadu do not know that.
However, after seeing his talent and giving the responsibility of BJP state president to Annamalai, who is Annamalai everywhere in Tamil Nadu today? The main reason for this is that he knows Hindi language and has gained influence in the BJP. That cannot be denied. Learning a language is a skill of students. The talented man reads. The incompetent person fails in education and fails there. Whoever is competent can learn any number of languages. That’s his talent. No one can deny that.
Similarly, here you are opposing only Hindi. Why are they not opposed to learning Urdu? Similarly, Telugu language is available in some schools. Why not oppose it? Worse still, there is no one to work here. The 100-day work has completely destroyed agriculture. Here it is the workers from the northern states who are used for agriculture and construction work.
It is necessary for the future younger generations to learn Hindi because a language is essential for life. But what is their account? If people know Hindi here, we cannot do politics. The BJP will gain a foothold. This is the politics between the two. This is why the two men are fighting over words. What do people need? What is unnecessary? It’s up to the people to decide.
They think that the three-language education policy here will have a political impact on them. Besides. The DMK’s calculation is that it will be against our rule in the future. But despite the calculations of these two, the employment opportunities of these educated youth are very, very, very low in the future. Now they are paying Rs.15,000 per month for engineering degrees, Rs: 12000 per month.
How will they run their families with this salary? Similarly, for BA, BCom, MA and MCom graduates, the salary is less than Rs 15,000. How can they run a family with this? Also, if the students learn a language keeping in mind their welfare, they can go to another state if they are not in Tamil Nadu.
Hindi is a must for central government jobs, banking, postal department, railways, army, etc. So, in particular, the youth of Tamil Nadu definitely need Hindi to get into central government jobs.

Therefore, it is better that the Tamil Nadu government should bring a three-language education policy in the interest of the students of Tamil Nadu. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has asked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami not to politicise education for your political gains.
However, there is no denying the fact that the DMK continues to politicise education and continue to be against the future interest of the students. Students need to think about this. What is the truth? You have to understand that and put an end to this problem.
