Despite the forced conversion law in force in the country, today more than 20 families living in Vidayur village, a few people are educated. They are giving them biscuits and tea and forcing them to convert.
When asked about this by the editor of People’s Authority, he said, What do you care about it? Also, we are here to help them. Why do those who come to help bring Bibles and sit down to study? If the Bible didn’t come here, no one would listen to them.
Moreover, those people have no understanding of Hinduism or Christianity. Also, the government has built a house for them in this village in a poramboke place. If they convert the houses they have built to Christianity, action should be taken against them.
The police officials and the District Collector should immediately look into the matter and take action. How can such concessions given to Hindus be made to Christian converts? Will it go? So the concessions made should be withdrawn.
The Federation of Social Welfare Journalists has asked the concerned authorities to take proper action in this regard.
