If the judiciary favors political parties and corrupt politicians, it is okay, if it does not, it is criticism. Is this the gist of the letter sent by retired judges to CJI Chandrachud? besides?
Corruption is the biggest danger of democracy. The courts and judges should act as the main solution. Judiciary is the trust of the common man. In order to shatter that trust, corruption of the opposition parties in the country has been categorized as corruption of the ruling party. They are punished only if they prove the corruption charges against them in the court.
Not only that, people’s lives become a struggle behind these corrupt people. How’s that? They either hoard corrupt money or invest it in foreign companies. Then the cash flow in the country decreases here. Price rise will control all this. But when money is transported to other states or abroad, if the cash habit decreases, the prices of essential commodities automatically rise.
Apart from this, political parties behind social crimes and corrupt people are interfering in the lives of the common man. That is, they are deprived of their social rights. It is enslaved by rowdies, political rowdies, police repression, false cases and enslavement. If everyone seeks the protection of the law through the courts, the livelihood of the common man will be affected. Those who have to work for the economy cannot fight for this.
For example, Saravanan, son of a small boy from Arumbakkam village in Arcot taluk of Ranipet district, has been selling TASMAC liquor bottles in the black market for more than 10 years The area inspector came on a video call and threatened the journalist Anandan, who did not take action against him. This is the excessive power of the police.
Who should be informed of security? For social criminals? Or political background for criminals? Is social welfare for journalists? It’s up to the DGP to whom and what happened there? We need to investigate and take action.
Besides, when liquor bottles are sold illegally in the black market 24 hours a day, the livelihood of the common man is affected. Is their family’s income at stake? The DMK government is not bothered about this, the DMK government has to solve the problems of the people for the welfare of the people, the police have been indirectly safe, the DMK regime has been tainted.
Without worrying about it, it is an easy job for the DMK to publish good news in some other newspapers and show the political gimmick to the people for the mistake that is happening. Because when the ordinary press is telling the truth to the people, social criminals with political background are threatened and slandered by the newspaper and journalists.
How long will the newspapers keep their merit and integrity propping up the people? How long will the social welfare press have to fight with such social criminals with political backgrounds? Governance is not permanent for anyone. The police deviating from their duties and becoming a lackey to the rulers is an act of destroying the trust of the public in the police.
Moreover, such police intimidation to journalist Anandan, who fought for social good without any benefit, is a social crime. What is the difference between social offenders and such criminals in the police? It is for DGP Shankar Jiwal Sharma to inform the public. Also, ordinary journalists, how much struggle do you have to fight against a small group of social criminals?
From ministers to MLAs and MPs, how does the society have to fight for the biggest multi-billion scams in the country? Political parties should understand that people did not vote for them to corrupt the country. Sorry if something goes wrong. But if the corrupt commit unforgivable mistakes and put pressure on the courts and judges to seek redress through the courts, criticize the judges and tarnish the judiciary among the people, will democracy be in question in the country?
And, losing the last hope of the public, where else will they go? Therefore, the judiciary is in a critical situation where it has to act against the present political corrupt and political criminals, irrespective of party affiliation, protecting the dignity of the judiciary and protecting the integrity of the judges. It is the last hope of the people of the country that every judge should act with caution.
