Complaints from the Makkal adhikaram magazine to the President, Chief Minister, and Governor regarding the plight of the central and state government’s news departments, concerning the DMK and AIADMK regimes, the suppression of anti-corruption magazines for 10 years by withholding concessions and advertisements, and corporate politics.

What are the magazines that have been fighting against corruption in Tamil Nadu for 10 years? The central and state information department officials, who don’t even know how to get that list, are using a loophole called circulation to favor corporate magazines, preventing social welfare magazines from growing and their objectives from reaching the people. Is that the plight of the information department officials? Is it a social objective? Or an income objective?

Furthermore, despite repeatedly sending many news reports and petitions against it during the previous regime, it was of no use. In the DMK regime, only good people, those who walk the path of justice, and truthful journalists would have been affected. This is because only anti-social elements and the media that justify them could survive in that regime. They were the ones for whom the government was being run.

Furthermore, with the current change in government, social welfare magazines have gained a hope that there will be an end to all this. Besides, the press department officials should differentiate which magazines wrote against truths and corruption. That’s what you get paid for.

Furthermore, will you all work for this society without pay? We have been doing it and will continue to do so. However, without recognition, appropriate rewards for our labor, and wages, deserving individuals continue to struggle in these social welfare magazines to this day.

Moreover, the one who works will ask. He will feel the pain. There will be suffering. How can the one who doesn’t work? Can he ask for those rights? He himself knows. We are not worthy of it. That’s why he cannot ask with a sense of entitlement. Nevertheless, he is only asking for his ID card.

Furthermore, so many people, having such magazines as associations, creating a fake magazine illusion, fighting on the streets, are showing themselves as journalists. If so! Let the journalism department and the news department examine every news item they have published. Then it will be clear. Furthermore,

What is the quality of each magazine? What is its merit? Did it copy? Or was it published without copying? So many people are copying from corporate and publishing news, showing it as magazine circulation. Have they published news against them? If all this is calculated, why can’t the magazine industry be improved?

Furthermore, there is no journalism without hard work. The government officials did not try to give the deserving recognition to those who worked hard during the DMK or AIADMK regimes. The only person who made an effort was Baskara Pandian when he was the Director of the Information Department. He was the only one who tried, but since the file was submitted when the government was about to be dissolved and elections were nearing, it also ended in failure.

Furthermore, even now, Makkaladhikaram has been continuously sending news, complaint petitions, for the past ten years. In that regard, petitions related to this have been submitted to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay, the Minister of Information, Rajmohan, and the Director, Arun Thamburaj, in Tamil Nadu.

In addition to this, these requests have been emphasized to the ministry related to the central government’s information department. Apart from this, complaints related to this have also been sent to the country’s President Droupadi Murmu and Tamil Nadu Governor R.V. Arlekar.

The problems that exist here have been clearly sent as a complaint petition. Explanations are also being given through the news. Therefore, what action will all these people take?

Furthermore, the main reason for this! The central and state government information departments do not choose this newspaper for the importance of news. Besides, changes must be brought in the news sector according to the times. But, without doing that, they have been hanging on only by the circulation law for more than 50 years. That is the biggest mistake made by the central and state information departments.

A newspaper should reveal neutral truth and character. The newspaper is meant to tell people what is true. But in the past, we could not accept the injustice of this press industry.

And these news department officials! From the secretariat, how they were destroying this press industry is truly the dark age of the press industry.

Today, as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, is providing a government for the people, the most important request and hope of social welfare magazines is that he will give importance and priority to magazines run for the people.
