The Central and State governments’ Information and Broadcasting departments are prioritizing corporate publications, wasting crores of rupees of public money. President Droupadi Murmu should seek a detailed report on this from the Press Information Bureau.

Furthermore, what is the purpose of the magazine? Its quality? The truthfulness of the news? How can one study only its circulation without examining any of these? How do they call themselves a news department?
Furthermore, if it’s news! There is a compulsion to convey something. Is it fair in any way that magazines and television channels operating with a business motive, political party-affiliated magazines, television channels, and their websites, are given concessions and advertisements without any explanation about it?

Furthermore, some aspects of the BJP government are acceptable. They are governing in a situation where some matters are unacceptable. Among these, the news department has been heavily corporatized and laws have been framed accordingly. This is against democracy and social change, which is called the fourth pillar of journalism. Furthermore, in this

They pretend to serve the lower and middle classes, but in reality, they prioritize corporations.
Furthermore, I have brought this to the attention of the Press Information Bureau of the Central Government multiple times. The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has not taken any action regarding this.
Furthermore, how is that law that has been put in place to get concessionary advertisements for online magazines currently? It is framed with the corporate in mind. That is,

The Central Government’s PIB (Press Information Bureau) is such that medium-scale publications cannot avail any kind of concession or advertisement from it.

It has been decided to send a letter to the President on behalf of the People’s Power magazine and Social Welfare Journalists’ Federation. That is, what is circulation? It means printing ten thousand copies. How many are sold? How much goes to waste? What is circulation? The central and state government’s information departments are functioning without knowing this.

Furthermore, the news department officials are unaware of the quality of the news. How is the circulation on the newspaper’s website? They have divided it into three categories: A, B, and C.
Category A includes viewers from 5 million and above. Next is Category B viewers, from 2 million and above. Category C viewers are from 2.5 million and above. They have stipulated that all these must be website viewers per month.

But what kind of news should be published? What are the qualifications? What are the procedures? Is it for the people? Or for the rulers? Or for political parties? Without even knowing what it is for, the circulation law? and the viewer law?

All of this is just a blank paper law. Unregulated laws! For what purpose? Should there be a press? Why should there be a press? How should news be? What is its quality? What is its purpose? Without importance to that, based on this blank paper circulation, the central and state governments’ information departments have been deceiving social welfare magazines to this day.

Furthermore, what is a newspaper for? Trash news! Whatever news they publish, be it cinema news, entertainment news, or even if they force unnecessary news on people, it’s still a newspaper. It’s also counted in circulation. That is, if they publish four government news items, they can then force as many unnecessary news items as they want, such as news of illicit affairs, love affairs, rape, and it’s still a newspaper. This is the circulation law of the news industry.

Apart from this, newspapers will bring in circulation news that promotes political parties and love stories, calling them newspapers too.
Furthermore, we are bringing to the President’s attention the fraudulent law of the journalism sector for 50 years, which Mr. Murmur has continued. Likewise, many journalists and small newspaper publishers should now take this issue as a complaint before the President.

It is only then that the correct action will be brought to the attention of the central and state government’s information department, and the President will take action. Not only that, what is the truth being conveyed to the President? Laws favorable to corporations! Why have social welfare magazines not been given support? The law is not meant to be spoken of as equal for all?

Why are these magazines given RNI? Why are they given? Shouldn’t they run the magazine industry with corporate magazines alone? Moreover, these social welfare magazines make common people and the downtrodden understand what is true.

Furthermore, when our magazines exist without a commercial purpose, it is the government’s primary duty to give them importance. In such a situation, what is their intention in avoiding this? Our humble and important request is that President Murmu undertake a detailed study on this.
